Cards & Games
There are several groups that meet regularly in the Clubhouse to play cards, Mahjongg and Bingo. You don’t need to be an expert to join any of these groups, but some knowledge of the game is necessary. All of these groups welcome new members, so if there is a game you enjoy or want to learn, come join the fun!
Bunco
Come join us for a fun-filled evening of Bunco. We meet on the second Monday of the month from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Clubhouse Game Room. For more information, please call Esther Vickstrom at 541-921-1346.
Cribbage
Cribbage is free! It only takes two, three, four or more to play. We have all the equipment needed and will teach new players. It is easy and fun, and we have room for everybody. Join us on most Mondays at 9:30 AM in the Game Room.
Mahjongg
Come join the fun and play Mahjongg (American) with us! Mahjongg is a game of skill, luck and strategy that many claim helps keep their mind sharp and alert.
We meet on Tuesdays between noon and 4:00 PM in the Clubhouse Game Room. If you have questions, please call or text Tish at 503-314-1575.
Bingo
Everyone is welcome! We play the second and fourth Fridays of the month from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Game Room. Residents may bring a guest who is not a resident. We play several different games each night; each has a pot for the winners. Cards are $1.00 each, and you may play as many cards as you like.
Euchre Card Group
It’s particularly popular in the Midwestern United States, Canada, and Australia. Euchre is a fun and strategic trick-taking card game played with four players in teams of two. We play on Fridays from 3pm to 5pm in the Game Room. For more information, contact Greg Weidinger at gydinger@gmail.com, or visit www.wikihow.com/Play-Euchre
Hand & Foot
Hand & Foot is a canasta-type card game with a twist. Like canasta, the rules vary in different venues. We are a very fun, casual group that plays promptly every Tuesday, 1:30 PM in the Game Room. Please arrive a bit early for table assignment. Late arrivals cannot be seated after table seating is drawn.
If you have never played or feel rusty, Susan Callihan is offering tutorials to those who RSVP at 12:30 PM, just prior to the regular games. Please RSVP or for more information contact Susan at 818-648-5356 or scallihan7308@gmail.com.
