WELCOME TO YOUR SUMMERFIELD LIBRARY

We look forward to inroducing you to all the items available for your reading and listening pleasure.

Our Library consists of many different areas such as fiction, mysteries, westerns, romance, historical romance, non-fiction and biographies.  Of special interest we also have current magazines, a large print section, video and audio section, DVD's, as well as classic books, travel books and books on various hobbies.

The Library is open every day between 5:45 AM and 10:00 PM and is managed by a team of volunteers who make up the Library Committee.  The Library has no system of check-in or check-out.  We use the honor system.  Simply make your choice.  We only ask that items are returned in a timely manner.  With a budget from the Civic Association and the generous donations from residents, we usually have our shelves filled to capacity.

For your reading pleasure, the Library is equipped with two comfortable reading chairs with a view of the golf course and ample light from windows  We also have an electric typewriter for residents use.  The library is for the exclusive use by Summerfield residents. 

Donations make up a very large percentage of our acquired books, etc. and while we appreciate these donations, please keep in mind our limitations on space.  We ask that only newer items be donated (no Readers Digest books, textbooks, encyclopedias, or catalogs). Magazines should be no older than three months.  If you have a donation larger than a full paper sack, please contact the committee chairman so that your donation can be properly marked and shelved.
