Social Activities Group

The purpose of the Summerfield Activities Group (formerly called the Social Club) is to develop and provide activities for all residents to enjoy. The Summerfield Activities Group is like an umbrella with many sub-groups under it. Our goal is to have fun and laugh often.

All residents are eligible to participate in the Summerfield Activities. There are no membership fees, although we accept modest donations at the Happy Hours and Potlucks to defray expenses.

Activities at this time include:

  • Happy Hours
  • Potlucks
  • Just-Friends Summerfield Singles
  • Summerfield Singalongs
  • Mexican Train (Dominos)
  • Scrabble
  • Memoir Writing Workshops
  • Dementia/Alzheimer’s Support Group

We also sponsor one-time events such as presentations and lectures.

You will find the dates, times and places of activities in the monthly newsletter. No reservations are necessary; just show up to attend. Contact the coordinator listed in the newsletter, if you have questions.

If you have ideas for new events or activities, or would like to volunteer at the activities, please contact Julie Helle at 503.747.5225
